Private pairing and encrypted monitoring
Baby Monitor Smart Remote does not treat an open socket or a discoverable device as trusted. The Baby and Parent devices must prove the exact pairing before a monitoring route is accepted.
Time-limited, confirmed pairing
The Baby device creates a short-lived QR ticket. Parent Mode scans it and completes a protected activation with the service. Pairing credentials and stream-encryption material are then kept in Android Keystore or Apple Keychain storage, depending on the platform.
End-to-end encrypted session data
Live video, periodic photos, nursery audio, walkie-talkie audio, securely transferred media, and control commands are encrypted between the paired devices. A Premium relay can transport ciphertext but does not receive the keys needed to read the live monitoring session.
Authentication on every route
Automatic mode can try Local, Router Direct, and Premium relay paths. A TCP or UDP response alone is never treated as a successful connection: the route becomes active only after the expected pair completes authenticated encrypted communication.
Access stays under caregiver control
Baby Mode lists authorized Parent devices, supports individual removal, and can reset all access. Parent Mode can remove a Baby pairing. Inactive pairings are subject to the product’s expiry policy and can be created again with a new QR code.
On-device Cry Detection
The Baby device runs the bundled TensorFlow Lite model locally against captured microphone audio. The app does not send nursery audio to a cloud AI service for cry classification.
Saving media changes its protection
Temporary Parent recordings and photos stay inside the app until the caregiver chooses to export them. Once saved to Photos, Gallery, Music, Files, or a selected Mac location, they are protected by that destination and may be accessible to other apps or people with device access.
Security does not guarantee availability
Power loss, denied permissions, operating-system suspension, hardware faults, router behavior, server capacity, or network interruption can stop monitoring or delay alerts. Always keep direct adult supervision appropriate to the situation.
